Brought up in a Chicago suburb, I learned early on what it meant to be self reliant and an entrepreneur. I am an athlete, an artist and always with a spirt of wanderlust. As an athlete I learned the importance of working with others, as an artist how to see the world differently, and to date, I’ve traveled 4 continents, 15 countries and 25 states.
Attending DePaul University I studied abroad in Budapest, Hungary. Outside of class I was back packing the Eastern block finding every chance to see a new city, embrace a new experience. During this time, I discovered Ashtanga yoga. I began yoga at various studios in Chicago before I left, but it was nothing like practicing Ashtanga yoga. The practice gave me a sense of grounding and vitality in a place I would have otherwise been lost.
Returning home, I started my 200-hr Yoga Teaching Certification. I taught for Yoga for Recovery, a non for profit aimed at bringing yoga classes to incarcerated women at the Cook County Penitentiary. Even though emotionally rewarding, stable income was necessary. I began freelancing personal assistant gigs, nannying and property management.
Common at DePaul, we jokingly say degree’s don’t matter because it’s all about who you know. Not true, however we are the sum of our relationships and every relationship has value or a lesson. Most of the relationships that I’ve built have translated to a success in my life. I’m inspired by the people around me to achieve more.
In 2017, I received a real estate license in Illinois. I hung my license at a company I’m passionate about- 100% women owned brokerage, North Clybourn Group. Women taking charge in what conventionally was a mans business, crushing stereotypes and doing it better. An agent with North Clybourn Group, entrepreneurial spirit never dies. I started an Airbnb business fusing my artistic nature and organizational abilities. Even in temporary guest relationships, I always hold value and take care.
Today, I am the owner of Bubble Dance Studios, a freelance design and management firm, real estate agent of North Clybourn Group, and continue to freelance yoga and personal assistant services. It is in my adversities that I find strength. Traveling has taught me how to stabilize my body and mind, teaching me to become a more peaceful, healthy and happy person I want to share with the world-
